WU LYF Share New Song “The Fool,” Troll Spotify With Homer Simpson Version

One year ago today on April 1, 2025, WU LYF announced their return. In February, they finally shared details of A Wave That Will Never Break, their first album in 15 years. Right on schedule, for April Fool's Day 2026, WU LYF have released another new single from the album called..."The Fool." It's a gradually-building love song about being foolishly in love: "After all the heart break and the letting go/ We found the punchline to the cosmic joke," Ellery Roberts proclaims.

The rollout for A Wave That Will Never Break has up to this point excluded Spotify and Apple Music, as WU LYF removed their music from those platforms last summer. There is a version of "The Fool" on Spotify, however: A version that sounds a lot like Homer Simpson. There are worse April Fool's jokes out there. Listen to both versions of the song below.
