Will Ultra Music Festival get rained out for the third year in a row? Make sure you know what you’re walking into when you enter the festival gates.
In both 2024 and 2025, heavy downpours over Miami forced Ultra Music Festival to halt portions of its programming. That begs the question: Could inclement weather once again rain on Ultranauts‘ parade in 2026?
The short answer is that it’s possible, especially on Sunday, March 29. While early reports suggested a 40% chance of rain for several hours on Friday, the National Weather Service reported at 4pm this afternoon that it will only creep up over the 20% mark for about an hour that day. And while the percentage will increase again on Saturday evening, it’s currently estimated to stay between 20-35% throughout all of Sunday.

Precipitation is only part of the picture. Wind speeds will also stay between 10-25 MPH through Friday and Saturday, but they’re expected to climb as high as 35 MPH on Sunday. This can act as a force multiplier for rainfall, breaking tree branches, limiting visibility, and increasing the likelihood of weather advisory warnings.
Forecasts depend on countless factors and are subject to constant change. If you’re planning to attend Ultra this weekend, look them up before you leave each day to prepare as well as possible for any fluctuations.
Ultra Music Festival is one of many festivals facing challenges due to inclement weather in recent years. In 2024, both Movement Detroit and Electric Forest were forced to temporarily evacuate due to heavy rain. In 2025, Bonnaroo called off three of its five days after a continuous downpour led to untenable campground conditions.
