Report: Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, Fred again.. In Talks for Coachella 2027

Coachella rumor season is in full swing, and several major acts appear to be frontrunners to headline the 2027 edition. According to industry publication Hits Daily Double, Tame Impala and Dua Lipa are expected to headline the California festival, while Fred again.. will apparently claim the “Returning to the Desert” slot listed at the bottom of the poster. If the rumors turn out to be true, it’ll be Tame Impala’s fifth time performing at Coachella; they previously headlined in 2019 (offering a very, very limited preview of their 2020 album The Slow Rush), and played the festival in 2015, 2013, and 2011. Fred again.. has also technically headlined Coachella before, stepping in to replace Frank Ocean for Weekend 2 in 2023 alongside Four Tet and Skrillex. Dua Lipa, on the other hand, has never played Coachella before — and given that it’ll be three years since her last album by April 2027, she’d likely make her festival debut with new music in tow.
