As well as being able to access certain online features, PlayStation Plus subscribers get access to a constantly evolving library of games that is updated every month.

A trio of new Essential games were announced earlier this month – Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For The King 2 and CrossCode – and now Sony has revealed the titles coming to Extra and Premium subscribers. Usually these are all released on the same day but Sony is currently “exploring new ways to deliver” PlayStation Plus games, so the new additions are dropping throughout the next couple of weeks.

“This month, journey into the breathtaking open world of Pandora in Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, carve your own path through a war-torn 19th-century Japan in Rise Of The Ronin, tackle raging infernos and rescue civilians in Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, or relive classic Saturday morning heroics in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind,” reads a Sony blog post. “All these titles and more are available in July’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup, meanwhile, two PS2 classics land into PlayStation Plus Premium: Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy.

The games coming to PlayStation Plus’ Premium and Extra tier this July 2026 are:

  • Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora (PS5) – July 21 for Premium and Extra
  • Rise Of The Ronin (PS5) – out now for Premium and Extra
  • Firefighting Simulator: Ignite (PS5) – July 21 for Premium and Extra
  • Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind (PS4, PS5) – July 28 for Premium and Extra
  • Dying Light (PS4) – July 28 for Premium and Extra
  • Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS5) – July 28 for Premium and Extra
  • Snow Bros. Wonderland (PS5) – July 28 for Premium and Extra
  • Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (PS4, PS5) – July 21 for Premium
  • Indigo Prophecy (PS4, PS5) – July 21 for Premium

After a controversial price hike that saw many users cancel their PlayStation Plus subscription, the Essential tier (which lets players access a select number of games) will now set you back £7.99 a month. Extra is available for £11.99 and gives subscribers access to Game Catalogue, a library of “hundreds of games from genre-defining blockbusters to innovative indies”. Premium adds more classic titles and game trials to the offering for £14.99 a month.

In other news, it’s been revealed that Mad Men star Jon Hamm was in the running to play L.A Noire’s protagonist Cole Phelps.
