More Ways to Stream and Sample on AllMusic

For a while now on many album and artist pages, we've had embedded streaming players for Spotify, Amazon Music, and (on album pages) Apple Music, where you can listen to full tracks if you are signed in to those services. If you are not a user of these services, you can still listen to the 30-second sound clips to better explore and get a feel for the album or the artist.

We've recently found a way to embed Bandcamp players on album pages:

Additionally, while Apple Music doesn't have a player for every artist page, they will often select an "Apple Essentials" playlist for bigger artists and we can display those on artist pages now.

As before, if you are logged in, you can set a preference for your streaming service via your user account settings. By selecting the streaming service you prefer, that playlist will display first on the album and artist pages on AllMusic.

In the event that we don't have your preferred service linked, we'll fall back to whatever service we have available.

Finally, we have a way for users to submit links to albums and artists for the things we just don't have links for yet, now including Bandcamp links on album pages, and Apple Playlist links on artist pages.

If you are on an album or artist page that doesn't have one of the streaming services linked yet, feel free to contribute to the project. [note: If you are adding Apple Music links to the AllMusic artist pages, make sure to choose the "Essentials" Playlist link available on many Apple Music pages.]

Hopefully with your assistance, we can build these out to be a one-stop location for music fans to sample and discover new recordings and bands from more of the services they prefer.
