**Hospital Records legend Logistics makes a highly anticipated comeback with his 24-track LP, Earthling.**

Cambridge liquid drum and bass producer Logistics is back with his eighth studio album. Earthling is a 24-track journey that solidifies his place as a legend in his game. Marking his first release since 2023’s End Sequence, this album signals his definitive return. It has dropped just in time for Hospital Records‘ 30th anniversary, honoring his longstanding contributions to the label through soulful drum and bass and liquid.

Earthling showcases Logistics’ evolution, blending his signature soulful sound with emotive textures and retro synths. By incorporating more live instrumentation, the veteran producer embraces newfound artistic freedom, balancing modern energy with nostalgia.

A standout is “Composure” featuring Charlotte X. Her R&B-tinged vocals and his soul-inspired loops capture the quintessential Hospital Records sound that Logistics helped define.

“I wanted to write something that referenced old soul music. Initially, the loop was inspired by people like The Isley Brothers, Ramp, and in particular, a track called ‘Silhouette’ by You and The Explosion Band. I then got Charlotte to write to it; [she] has got an amazing talent for melody and I love that classic sort of R&B sound she has to her writing.”

Showing off his versatility, “Phase” segues into UK garage territory with its syncopated rhythm and rolling grooves. Logistics is no stranger to the genre, and “Phase” turned out to be “one of the tracks he’s most happy with stylistically as it feels like it has a slightly fresher sound to it.”

Then, there’s “Rendezvous,” a high-energy liquid funk track featuring Émilie Rachel on vocals. Its bright and uplifting melody captures the peak of Hospital Records. As it’s a true collaboration, Logistics gave Rachel “full credit for the chord progression on this song.”

“Over End” with India Shan developed organically, just as Logistics prefers. An atmospheric liquid track, it’s cinematic, with rolling drum patterns and subtle vocals.

By stepping back and allowing his collaborators to take the reins, Logistics created an unforced, authentic vibe on Earthling. The result is an album full of the soulful liquid sound that he and the label have pioneered for three decades.
