Weezer Unveil New Single “C.E.O.”, Expand “Weezer: The Gathering” with New Tour Dates

Weezer have unveiled “C.E.O.,” a brand new single from their upcoming self-titled album (aka The Gold Album). Despite the potentially annoying name, the song feels musically aligned with to two previous singles, “We Might As Well Be Strangers” (featuring Wednesday’s Karly Hartzman) and “Shine Again”. This time around, though, Rivers Cuomo and company tackle the “passage of time and the pressures of trying to meet the demands of your own inner C.E.O.,” according to a press release. Find Weezer Tickets Here Below, check out the corresponding video, where Weezer are joined by their own gaggle of uber talented, executive-level folks, including Tony Hawk, Curry Barker (director of Obsession), Dax Flame, Chit (aka Jay Renshaw), Rob Riggle, Rob Huebel, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Without revealing too much, it sees Weezer butt heads with the corporate music biz as they try and maintain both their old-school sensibilities and still change with the times.
