Wolf Alice brought out Anna Calvi and Dove Ellis as surprise guests during their set at Green Man this weekend – check out footage below. The North London four-piece played on the Welsh festival’s Mountain Stage yesterday (August 23), and they were joined by Calvi and Ellis to perform a rendition of their recent collaborative single for the ‘Help(2)’ charity record, ‘Sunday Light’. The band’s Ellie Rowsell appeared on the track alongside Ellis, Calvi and Nilüfer Yanya. Earlier this year, producer James Ford spoke to NME about the creation of War Child’s star-studded album, and said Calvi “wanted multiple voices” to feature on it. “We were all pushing the spirit of collaboration,” he told us. “It was just a case of seeing who else wanted to come down and do some wailing. It’s a very heavy, mournful, almost funeral march of a song, but it’s really beautiful.” After performing that track at Green Man, they launched into a cover of Mazzy Star’s ‘Fade Into You’ – which you can watch below.
