Just last week, Turnstile announced Never Enough: Versions, a "reimagined" version of their gigantic 2025 album Never Enough. They kept the details on the album quiet while unveiling an absolutely baffling list of contributors that includes Elton John, Slayyyter, Hayley Williams, Blood Orange, Alex G, Dying Fetus, Julien Baker, Panda Bear, Oklou, Angel Du$t, and Dying Fetus. The album is here today, and it's a combination of covers, remixes, and hybrid remix/covers, with 22 different versions of songs from the original 14-track album. (This version of the album is also about two hours long, compared to the 45-minute original.)The new versions of these songs cover a lot of ground. Consider "Birds," the euphoric singalong that's become Turnstile's live-show closer. Slayyyter turns that song into a bleary-eyed dance-pop banger that samples Brendan Yates' voice, while Dying Fetus transform it into pummeling death metal. It sounds really cool in both forms.
