Trentemøller loops in a diverse revolving door of singers for the record, including Anika, Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes, Midwife, Tan Cologne, and Emma Acs. The decision to foreground voices marks a shift for the Danish artist, who describes treating the vocals as "an extra instrument" to play with. Lead single “Terrified” features Jonas Bjerre of Mew, who also created the accompanying animated video. Trentemøller says it's "probably the poppiest song on the album." Check it out below. The album was made without the vocalists ever meeting in the studio, with parts exchanged remotely. "I knew early on exactly who I wanted singing on these songs, people I deeply respect and could already hear in my music, friends and a few I'd never worked with before," Trentemøller explains. "I'm pretty shy, to be honest, and it gave the vocalists the privacy to really open up." Of his editing process, he says, "The noisy got noisier, the dreamy got dreamier, the melodic got even more melodic. I was ruthless this time. Okay, kill your darlings!
