‘The Witcher 4’ gets 2028 release date

The six-minute video revealed a grown-up Ciri would be the protagonist for The Witcher 4 with the game “marking the beginning of a new saga” following the events of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In a new update, game developers CD Projekt Red has now confirmed that they’re looking to release The Witcher 4 at some point in 2028. “This is our biggest, boldest and most ambitious game to date,” added joint CEO Michal Nowakowski. “I know it’s a bit of a wait and you’d love to play it sooner but let the team cook. It will be worth the wait.” More than 500 developers are currently working on The Witcher 4, which will feature “a huge and immersive open world, intense and action packed gameplay and a deep, impactful story” that the team hope will “stay with you for a long time”.
