The Tallest Man On Earth – “Colors”

When not stealing valor from seven-footers like Victor Wembanyama and our Tom Breihan, the so-called Tallest Man On Earth continues to release lovely user-friendly folk-rock. Today the Swede born Kristian Matsson resumes that pursuit with the release of "Colors," his first new song in three years.

This song is really working for me. "I need you to bring back the colors again," Matsson sings atop a steady churn of fingerpicking accented by fluttering horns and rustic swirling strings. He recorded this at home, and I love the way his slightly lo-fi vocals crack amidst the clear-as-day arrangement. Also, check out the Very Good Boy on the packshot. Is that cheating? It's probably cheating. Even without the cute dog advantage, "Colors" passes with flying colors. Watch the video below.
