Some experiences are too good to leave behind, and the Junkyard is one of those. It’s a home for late-night connection, art, and dancefloor magic, and on Saturday, July 11, its spirit comes roaring back to life. The Junkyard Revival is taking over a secret San Diego warehouse for one night, and it is set to deliver all of the energy that made Junkyard so special in the first place.
The Revival is a collaboration between three of San Diego’s most exciting collectives: AMA Sounds, BODEGA, and The Usual Suspects. Together they are recreating the immersive world of Junkyard inside the walls of a warehouse, blending art, community, and music into a single unforgettable night.
Leading the charge is a lineup of artists who defined this year’s Junkyard experience. GiZ, Nico Moon, and of course Patricio are all returning to deliver the standout sets that helped make Junkyard legendary.
GiZ brings in dark, bass-driven tracks with a few surprises mixed in and that make it impossible to stand still. Her sound has been crafted from experiences across the globe creating a style that refuses to sit inside any single border or genre, easing a crowd in before deciding when to turn it up. Her stage presence has carried her from House of Yes in New York to clubs and festivals around the world, and that energy is exactly what Junkyard runs on.
Nico Moon carries his sound from Buenos Aires to Miami, where he founded the weekly series The Hall and co-founded Sensations, both built to connect local talent with the wider dance world. His sets move fluidly between indie dance and house.
Patricio has long been the architect behind the Junkyard sound. He came up out of Buenos Aires as well, and he has been spinning since 1992 with a style that runs deep from experience and will pull you onto the floor to keep you there for hours. He’s the founder of The Junkyard and knows how to control that stage better than anyone else.
Rounding out the night is the extended Junkyard family, bringing together a mix of local San Diego roots and international influences. Leading the hometown charge is the founder of BODEGA event series and record label, Tyler Chase. His sets push the boundaries of Indie Dance by combining hints of different sub genres and techno. Alongside him is Zohar, a mainstay of the underground, whose unique track selection brings all of her crowds on a sonic Journey. Zohar also brings an international edge to the warehouse with prior sets at festivals like Dekmantel behind her. Mario Lui, Pepofit and Polk finish out the rest of the acts taking The Junkyard Revival stage.
Sound sits at the heart of the Junkyard Revival. The night runs on a Turbosound system, renowned for its powerful low end, crystal-clear detail, and fully immersive feel. Every kick, every bassline, and every subtle texture will hit exactly the way the artists intended. Inside a warehouse built for it, the sound becomes part of the experience itself.
More than the music, Junkyard has always been about the people. The Revival carries that same feeling, an immersive warehouse atmosphere where art, community, and music come together and strangers become friends by sunrise. If you spent any time at Junkyard this year, you already know what to expect. If you didn’t, this is your chance to see what everyone has been talking about.
The Junkyard Revival goes down Saturday, July 11, from 9:30 pm until late at a secret San Diego location revealed to ticket holders. Tickets are available at the link below.
