Showtek Launches New Label, F_CK THE SYSTEM, with Fresh Collab

Showtek are opening the door to the next chapter of their career with the launch of their new imprint F_CK THE SYSTEM along with its debut single, “Ella Elle L’a” with Kate Ryan.

Among the legendary artists in the dance music scene who continue to stand tall is Showtek. The Dutch brother duo of Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen have seemingly done it all, from helping usher in hardstyle to the masses to crafting some of the biggest hit tracks during the EDM boom. Iconic tracks like “FTS” and “Booyah” have helped propel them to the top of the game, yet they’ve also dabbled in a variety of genres along the way.

Additionally, Showtek are also not strangers to label ownership, as the duo founded Dutch Master Works early in their career, while Skink Records, which runs in partnership with Spinnin’ Records, began in 2013. Now, they’re opening up shop with another new imprint: F_CK THE SYSTEM.

F_CK THE SYSTEM was created in partnership with another Dutch independent label, Be Yourself Music, which has fostered a lengthy list of releases from talented artists across electronic music. According to Showtek, this new musical home has been designed to break genre boundaries, allowing them to showcase every side of their sonic identity, from festival-ready tunes to those suited to the underground.

It wouldn’t be a proper label launch without some fresh music to help welcome it into the scene, and Showtek have dropped “Ella Elle L’a” to mark F_CK THE SYSTEM’s arrival. This collaboration brings the Dutch duo together with Belgian-French dance artist Kate Ryan, who created the original version of the tune. Showtek road-tested the interpretation of the hit track while at Fun Radio Ibiza Experience at Accor Arena in Paris, and after the crowd went wild, they knew they needed to turn that live edit into a fresh track.
