Social media is not a reliable place. In case you're unsure about this massive claim, I urge you to watch a small segment with rapper Jim Jones on Shaquille O'Neal's The Big Podcast earlier this week. Shaq asks Jones about his relationship with East Coast rap legend Tupac, inquiring about a rumor that Tupac started fights in his videos.
"I never met Tupac in my life," Jones responds. "See I knew it was some bullshit," Shaq replies. Jones continues on talking about Harlem and spotting him once on the street. "Still to this day on of my favorite rappers of all time," Jones adds. Shaq replies, "I'm glad I asked you. This is why I hate social media." This is when things take a weird turn.
As they discuss how social media is packed with persuasive bullshit, Shaq pulls out his phone and reads aloud a faked Instagram conversation depicting Shaq sliding into Sabrina Carpenter's DMs, posted on the IG account @nba_flames. The faux pick-up line of choice? "Damn baby, I would keep your farts in a cologne bottle and spray it on me every day. Just jokes, I'm Shaq. What's your name, baby?"
So many questions already, aside from the initial "What the fuck?" Like, why would Shaq be asking a very big pop star her name when he's already sliding into her DMs? "Is this me?" he asks Jones and cohost Bailey Jackson. "First of all, ladies, the Diesel got way more game than that."
Even funnier is that this post did not appear to be widely circulating until Shaq brought up. But now, due to him talking about it on his podcast, it's going a bit viral. Still no word from Zion Williamson about his fart interaction attempt with Ice Spice that has been posted on that same account.

Carpenter, by the way, won Pop Artist Of The Year at the iHeart Radio Awards last night for the second year in a row. She did not appear to be present at the ceremony.
