Vocalist Monique Powell described the record as the foundation of her entire career. “It Means Everything is the reason I still have a career today,” she said in a statement. “It was the soundtrack to my youth, and for so many people, it became the soundtrack to theirs as well.” The tour, which launched earlier this month across the Pacific Northwest and Canada, marks the first time the band have performed the 1995 debut in sequence. Following Warped Tour appearances, they will head through Northern California before a long eastern swing that takes in dates in Toronto, Ottawa, New York, Cleveland, Nashville, New Orleans and a run of Texas cities, wrapping at the end of August. A further California show follows in September. It Means Everything went platinum via Epic/Sony and helped define third-wave ska’s commercial peak. Its cover of Dexys Midnight Runners’ “Come On Eileen” became a lasting live staple, and three singles from the album reached the Billboard Hot 100, two of them cracking the Top 40.
