San Diego Padres Closer Mason Miller’s Entrance Is Metal AF Thanks to Korn’s “Blind”: Watch

San Diego Padres’ new closer Mason Miller made his first appearance of the season on Saturday night against the Detroit Tigers, and his walkout to mound was metal as hell, thank to his entrance music being the 1994 Korn classic “Blind.”

When Miller got the call to the mound to preserve the Padres’ 3-0 lead in the ninth inning, the stadium went dark, and Korn’s “Blind” began to play, with singer Jonathan Davis’ trademark “Are You Ready?” scream echoing through Petco Park.

Miller was promoted to the closer role this season after being a setup man last year. When asked prior to the season what his entrance music would be, the pitcher was coy, only saying, ““The song’s not for me, it’s for everybody else. I hope everybody else enjoys it.”

With the adrenaline flowing from the nu-metal pioneers’ first-ever single, Miller shut down the Tigers to earn his first save of the season.

The Padres are no stranger to having a relief pitcher with electrifying entrance music, as Hall of Famer Trevor Hoffman used to famously walk out to AC/DC’s “Hells Bells.” And perhaps the most iconic walkout music ever for a closer is Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” which played at Yankee Stadium whenever the legendary Mariano Rivera took the mound.
