Rivers Cuomo Goes Full Gold as Weezer Play “We Might as Well Be Strangers” on Fallon: Watch

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo took cues from New York City street performers when the band stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, August 19th, painting his skin to match an all-gold outfit. He went through the extra effort to support their upcoming The Gold Album, out this Friday. During the appearance, Weezer performed the catchy lead single, “We Might as Well Be Strangers,” with Silversun Pickups bassist Nikki Monninger seamlessly filling in for Wednesday’s Karly Hartzman as the guest vocalist.
