London’s iconic 100 Club to host punk 50th anniversary shows with Sprints, Maruja and more at 1976 ticket prices of £1.50

The 100 Club in London is set to host two shows from Sprints, Maruja and more, celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of their most iconic punk gigs. To mark the landmark moment, they will be pricing tickets at just £1.50 – the same as what they were in 1976. READ MORE: Maruja’s sprawling jazz-punk offers solidarity in the face of disorder The 1976 shows were held on September 20 and 21, and featured performances from Sex Pistols, The Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Damned, Buzzcocks Subway Sect, Chris Spedding & The Vibrators and Stinky Toys from Paris – most of which were unsigned at the time. In the audience were big names including Paul Weller, Shane MacGowan, Viv Albertine, and Vivienne Westwood, and the gig soon became one of the most storied punk gigs of all time.
