Korn’s “Freak on a Leash” Goes TikTok Viral Thanks to Zara Larsson Dance Craze

Korn’s 28-year-old song “Freak on a Leash” has gone viral on TikTok thanks to a dance craze that started with Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life,” itself an 11-year-old tune.

“Lush Life” experienced a resurgence after a 16-year-old fan named Julia Coster showed up at Larsson’s show in the Netherlands this past November, and jumped onstage and did a choreographed dance to the song with the singer. From there, the dance became a phenomenon on TikTok and Instagram.

Recently, TikTokers discovered that the choreography to “Lush Life” syncs perfectly with Korn’s “Freak on a Leash,” giving the dance a nu-metal spin. Check out a couple of the Korn TikToks, as well as the original Zara Larsson and Julia Coster dance, below.
