The exact moment Karol G became a global superstar is up for debate. Others can probably point to the announcement of her “Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour” that kicked off July 24th in Chicago and will see her perform, as only superstars do, in stadiums around the world. Regardless of when it happened, there’s little doubt that Karol G is now part of that exclusive club. And her new album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto reflects the kind of creative freedom reserved for artists who’ve reached that level. A ballad performed entirely in English? Sure. A Drake-esque track featuring Drake himself? Why not? A gut-wrenching duet going toe to toe with Bruno Mars on vocals? Absolutely. But the album’s greatest strength has little to do with the guest list or the language.
