Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively Settle It Ends With Us Lawsuit

3 weeks ago 23

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have settled their legal battle over allegations of sexual harassment on the set of their 2024 film It Ends With Us. The former co-stars reached the agreement just two weeks before the scheduled trial date.

“The end product — the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind,” reads a joint statement (via TMZ).

The statement continues, “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.”

News of the settlement comes one month after US District Judge Lewis J. Liman tossed out 10 of Lively’s 13 claims against Baldoni, including harassment, defamation, and conspiracy. However, the judge permitted claims of breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting in retaliation to proceed.

In the lawsuit filed in December 2024, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during the film’s production and causing “severe emotional distress.” Baldoni responded in January 2025 by filing an extortion and defamation suit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, which was dismissed in November 2025.
