Ella Langley now has the longest-running non-Christmas #1 song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. Last week "Choosin' Texas," the crossover smash from Langley's Dandelion, spent its 19th week atop the chart, pulling into a tie with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus' "Old Town Road" and Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" for the most weeks at #1. This week, the song spends a record-breaking 20th week at #1, Billboard confirms."Choosin' Texas" first hit #1 in February and has dropped out of the #1 spot five times, only to return to the top every time. It has remained at #1 uninterrupted for the past 10 weeks. The only song with more weeks at #1 is Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," with 22. In 2019, thanks to the rise of streaming, Carey's Christmas classic began spending several weeks per year at #1 during the holiday season.
