Disco Presents Releases Official Statement Regarding Ubbi Dubbi Weather Cancelation Refunds

After being forced to cancel the second day of Ubbi Dubbi due to severe weather, Disco Events has released a statement with insight on refunds, transfers, and more.

A severe weather system moved into the Fort Worth area in April while Ubbi Dubbi was taking place, which forced the festival to be evacuated. Active lightning, high winds, and thunderstorm warnings loomed over North Texas, prompting Disco Events to cancel the remaining programming for the evening out of an abundance of caution. In the wake of the cancellation, questions continued regarding refunds, ticket transfers, and more, and now, more details have officially surfaced.

In a statement posted on Instagram and the website earlier today, Disco Events outlined the need to cancel the festival scheduled for Saturday. “Once the decision was made to evacuate, conditions did not allow us to safely resume the event,” their team said. “As a result, approximately four hours of scheduled programming were unable to take place.”

Our team monitored conditions closely throughout the evening and worked with the appropriate partners to preserve as much of the event as possible, but the severity and timing of the storm created an unavoidable safety risk.

Because of the cancellation of day two, Disco Events is working with its ticketing partner, Eventim US (See Tickets US), to offer refunds. While the timeline is currently being finalized, those who had Saturday Single-Day Tickets will receive a full refund, and those who had Two-Day Tickets will receive a 50% refund. If your ticket was transferred, the refund will be sent to the transferee. Additionally, those who had rollover tickets from Wicked Oaks will have their portions rolled over to Freaky Deaky, which is scheduled for later this year.

“We are committed to resolving this as quickly as possible and will update purchasers once the timeline is finalized,” the statement reads. “No action is required at this time to receive your qualifying refund.”

Disco Events is also planning to offer an optional give-back option for those eligible for refunds. Ticket holders can direct some or all of their eligible refund value to Americares, a health-focused disaster relief organization. If you opt in to this option, you will receive two SILO Dallas tickets to the show of your choice in exchange, with some exclusions applying.
