Current Joys drops new single, "WILDFIRE"

"WILDFIRE" follows lead single "HOLE", and lands amidst a sold-out UK tour. On the track, Nick Rattigan — the artist behind Current Joys — reflects on a period of significant personal shift, which is translated to the visual world with a music video directed by Justin Kaminuma.

“I wrote 'WILDFIRE' at a time in my life when everything felt like it was collapsing,” Rattigan explains. “I’d been through a few years of self destruction and was just starting to come out of it. I always wanted the video to be me in a house on fire, just embracing the flames. When Justin came in I think he wanted it to be a bit more optimistic. He convinced me to reach my hand out to the door in the final scene implying something more than just burning. I’m at a point in my life where I’m starting to believe in the reach.”
