The pair first met performing in The Umlauts, with McLean also being known for playing violin in caroline. They released their debut single "Man The Door" just last month, with "No Ordinary Word" offering another side of Curbside Lambsear's first collection of songs — which combine elements of pop, folk, and improvisation, while taking influence from drone, dub, and post-punk. Speaking about Put Rings On All My Fingers To Weigh Down My Hands, the band explain: “This EP came from experimentation and is composed of all the sounds we felt drawn towards while making music together, all the noise and melodies we came to be in agreement about, all that emerged while testing and probing what felt right. Some of it was found, some of it was built, some of it happened by accident while cycling down a narrow lane."
