Couch Slut’s Amy Rose Mills Announces New Album I Think We’ve Met Before: Hear “A Little Treat”

We're used to hearing the harshest, heaviest, most unhinged side of Amy Rose Mills in the Brooklyn noise-rock band Couch Slut. New solo album I Think We've Met Before presents a softer iteration. Out just under a month from now, the album features guest spots from Theo Nobel and Anya Good, and the great More Eaze contributes strings to lead single "A Little Treat." The song, which arrives today along with the album announcement, is a delicate acoustic ballad haunted by darkness, punctuated by eruptions of noise. I've already played it back a few times this morning, so make sure to hear it at least once.

Mills, who also plays in Adult Human Females, offered this statement:

"a little treat" started out as a more playful song about running to the store in the middle of the night to get a little bev or snack, which i'll often do to kind of reset my brain. It features violin arrangements by More Eaze. It was the song that took the longest for me to develop into something I was happy with but In the end it became a favorite.
