Clairo Joins Ryan Beatty For Live Debut Of Their New Collabs In NYC

The first time that Clairo ever performed her hit "Sexy To Someone" wasn't at one of her own shows. Instead, back in 2024 she made a surprise appearance during a set from Ryan Beatty, her peer in chilled-out singer-songwriterdom. Last month, Clairo sang backup on a few songs from Beatty's new album Sweet Fortune. And on Thursday night, Clairo once again took the stage alongside Beatty, performing two songs together for the first time in New York.

As of right now, Ryan Beatty isn't doing a proper tour behind Sweet Fortune. Instead, he's playing intimate small-venue shows in New York, Los Angeles, and London and then hitting festivals like All Things Go and Austin City Limits. Last night happened to be the fifth anniversary of Clairo's album Sling. Beatty played a sold-out set at New York's Night Club 101, and Clairo joined him onstage, the two of them sitting together and wearing outfits that seemed like they might've matched by accident.

Together, Beatty and Clairo hit soft, pretty harmonies on "Sweet Fortune" and "Too Many Ways," two of the songs from Beatty's new Sweet Fortune album that feature Clairo's backing vocals. It was Beatty's first time performing either song. Watch some fan videos below.
