Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey Looks Truly Epic in New Trailer: Watch

A Christopher Nolan movie is more than a movie — it is an event. See, as evidence, the fact that the upcoming The Odyssey sold out a ton of IMAX screenings a literal year in advance. In the lead-up to his epic star-studded adventure, the director made a rare talk show appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to reveal the newest trailer for the Homer-inspired tale, including a taste of the fantasy-laced action to come.

The Odyssey stars Matt Damon as Ithican King Odysseus, who just wants to return home to his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) after years away fighting in the Trojan War. Unfortunately, some of Greek mythology’s biggest bads stand in his way. The movie features a supporting cast including Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Berntha, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Will Yun Lee, Mia Goth, Jimmy Gonzales, Elliot Page, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Corey Hawkins, Jovan Adepo, and Logan Marshall-Green.
