Camp EDC Was a Raver’s Paradise During EDC Las Vegas 2026

Camp EDC remains the best way to experience EDC Las Vegas, offering fun, vibes, and convenience right on the grounds of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

As EDC Las Vegas gets bigger and bigger every year, so does its companion lodging experience, Camp EDC. Each year, Insomniac has tuned the area just outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway into a raver’s paradise for fun and convenience during the long weekend in May. And, if campers choose to check into camp on Thursday, they get treated to a day-zero Homecoming pre-party that essentially turns EDCLV into a four-day festival.

My last experience attending Camp EDC was in 2024, which was also my first time ever camping at a festival. That year fell on a hot weekend, and I was staying in a ShiftPod, which made the camping situation a bit more exhausting. Pair that with rookie mistakes like not bringing a wagon, and it created a bit of a long and tiring weekend.

This year, my group and I decided to go with the RV route and opted for a power add-on, as we heard it was the optimal way to stay. After my experiences combined within the campgrounds and at the festival itself, I can confirm that it is indeed the best way to experience all that Camp EDC has to offer.

Thursday check-in was a breeze, giving the whole day to explore camp and recharge.

Check-in for Camp EDC on Thursday begins at 8am, but RVs may line up and be security-checked before then. My group and I got in line at about 4am, and a little over an hour later, we were past security and lined up idling until 8. Once camp officially opened, we were all set up at our spot by 8:30am, giving us the whole day to explore and rest. I highly recommend lining up early, as it gives you a much better chance of getting a great camp spot.

We were lucky enough to be stationed right next to actual bathrooms and shower trailers, which was game-changing. We were also in close proximity to the festival entrance and The Mesa. This is the central spot in camp, with food and drinks, vendors, activities, and all the parties, including pool parties and afters. It’s also the place to be if you are trying to catch a vibe and indulge in the nearly 24-hour party experience.

After spending the day exploring and saying hello to people around camp, people started getting ready for the pre-party at 8pm. The stacked lineup was closed out by Cloonee and ended at 4am, but I went to bed earlier than that to be fresh for day one of the festival, which was an extremely smart move. While camp is fun and keeps the party going, it’s important to remember that EDC Las Vegas is a marathon, not a sprint, so rest accordingly!

The activities and amenities always kept things fun.

The Mesa featured two pools and featured sets each day until the festival doors opened. Artists performing at The Mesa during the day included San Pacho, Roddy Lima, YDG, Interplanetary Criminal, and many more. Each day at camp was fairly warm, so demand to get in the pools was high, resulting in some lines. If campers wanted to cool off elsewhere, misters were set up in various spots throughout camp.

The Mesa also had plenty of games to play, like giant beer pong. Vendors around camp sold pashminas, fans, glasses, trinkets, and more. There was also an EDC merch stand so people could get it out of the way without spending time in the festival line. Activities at camp included yoga, craft stations, and countless other activities. All these offerings at camp ensured that attendees were always entertained, with never a dull moment.

The Camp EDC afters kept the party going after sunrise each morning.

Even after the festival concluded each day, the party would continue for a few more hours with the iconic Camp EDC afters. The afters were for anyone who still had some dancing to do each day and usually got rowdier than expected, creating a 24-hour party atmosphere. Some artists on the Friday and Saturday afters schedule included Omar+, Baggi, Luciano, and Mink. The house dominated after lineups made for a nice way to end each day.

While I didn’t catch too much of the afters on Friday and Saturday, I made sure to go for a few hours on the closing party on Sunday, which was hosted by Beltran and friends. The Brazilian artist’s fun and goofy sound was a perfect way to close out the weekend, and the turnout was big. People stayed all the way until the end, because they knew that once the music was over, it would officially mark the end of this year’s edition.

The ease of getting to and from the festival is unmatched.

The best feature about Camp EDC is the proximity to the festival. Getting to and from camp is a breeze, which is nice for groups with different schedules. When staying on the strip or anywhere else, traffic can become a nightmare during EDC weekend, whether you’re taking shuttles, driving, or Ubering. I heard that the shuttles were experiencing delays as well, causing people to arrive at the festival later than planned.

Being a short walk away eliminates these problems and makes it easier for people who want to stay until sunrise each day. It’s also nice because sometimes people want to leave the festival earlier than they had anticipated, so it’s easy to walk right back to camp. Nothing beats being back at camp right after the festival ends, with the ability to freshen up with a nice shower, compared to the hour-plus trek if you stay elsewhere.

RV camping elevated the experience to a whole new level.

While camping in the ShiftPod was fun a few years ago, I can’t deny that the RV is a whole lot better. The comfort and luxury of an RV with power created for the ultimate EDC Las Vegas experience. Being able to cook in the RV with AC pumping makes for an ultra-convenient and fun experience. While it is pricier than shiftpod camping, it’s 100% worth it if you can find a group that’s committed to elevating their EDC experience.

The vibes in the RV section of camp were also amazing, with people setting up canopies and speakers on their rides to keep the party going. All the flags and decorations people put on their RVs added character to the area and served as good landmarks at camp throughout the weekend. If you’re lucky enough like my group, you may even be right around the corner from the Famous “Pancake Mom.

There’s no better way to experience EDC Las Vegas than with Camp EDC.

All in all, Camp EDC is the ultimate way to get the most out of EDC Las Vegas. It’s something that complements the festival in so many ways, and it’s also become its own distinct experience with unique elements. While it may not be traditional camping like some other festivals, it’s something that has to be done to truly appreciate.

If you’re intimidated by camp, don’t be. It could be the perfect addition to make your next EDC Las Vegas experience the best one yet.
