At the 25th Tribeca Festival, Bruce Springsteen will receive the 2026 Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award. He’ll be honored during an event that will include a conversation between Springsteen and (per the release) “longtime friend and fellow activist” Bono. Robert De Niro and Patti Smith will also appear to celebrate the iconic American rocker.

The Voices for Social Justice Award is intended to recognize artists “who don’t just speak out, but actively use their platform to advance equality, dignity, and human rights.” Tribeca Festival co-founder and co-chair Jane Rosenthal said in a statement that “There are few figures who embody the spirit of Tribeca’s Harry Belafonte Award more fully than Bruce Springsteen.” His recent concerts, which have been very political in nature, would support that statement.
Springsteen will receive the honor on Saturday, June 13th, after wrapping up the last shows of his “Land of Hope & Dreams” US tour. Tickets are still available for the remaining dates — here’s how to get tickets for his sold-out Madison Square Garden shows in May.
