Bonnaroo Taking “A Much-Needed Year Off” In 2027

Huge news out of Tennessee: There will be no Bonnaroo in 2027. The longstanding music festival announced today that it will be taking "a much-needed year off," with plans to return in 2028.Bonnaroo has been taking place in mid-June on the Farm in Manchester, Tennessee since 2002. But the fest has faced seemingly endless weather trouble this decade. After scrapping the 2020 event because of COVID, Bonnaroo canceled its 2021 fest due to flooding. Severe weather led to most of the weekend's festivities once again being canceled in 2025, which resulted in Bonnaroo surveying festival-goers about a potential move to a different part of the calendar. This year, when the fest returned on its normal weekend after all, weather wiped out 11 Sunday sets, including Aly & AJ for a second straight year.
