Billy Strings isn’t making a career pivot into being a minor league hockey player. He’s just protecting his noggin from unruly concert attendees. The guitar-picking maestro donned a helmet from Fishers, Indiana’s minor league hockey team, the Indy Fuel, at his August 7th show at the Fishers Event Center after being hit in the head by an object thrown by an audience member the previous night, the first of a three-night stand at the venue. The night before, Billy Strings didn’t have the same sense of humor about the incident.
