Beabadoobee shares new song “Memories” ahead of forthcoming album Pylon

The new track was debuted live during recent US shows including Lollapalooza and Hinterland festivals, plus a headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The London-based artist described “Memories” as “one of the happiest songs on the album,” but said it comes from “clinging onto ideas that should make me happy but actually make me feel sad, because I wish they were just moments I lived in forever.” Pylon follows This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which became her first UK number 1 album in 2024. On the writing process, Laus said the record “reminded me a lot of how I wrote songs at 17, alone in my bedroom, feeling sad as fuck.” The album also includes earlier singles “Switchblade” and “Sun Has Set.” Two intimate London release shows have been confirmed for release week: Kingston’s Circuit with Banquet Records on 15 September, and Hackney Church with Rough Trade on 18 September. The Powerlines Tour, her first arena run, begins on 1 October in Uncasville, Connecticut, and takes in Madison Square Garden on 5 October and the Kia Forum on 21 October before reaching the UK.
