Australian Wu-Tang Clan Fans Get Refunds After Four Members Don’t Make the Trip

1 day ago 7

Wu-Tang Clan have a long history of members not making shows or even entire tours, but they were all on the same page for their recent “final” run last year. Unfortunately for fans Down Under, four members didn’t show up for the Australian leg of their “Final Chamber” tour.

According to reports, Wu-Tang Clan shared an Instagram Story informing fans that Method Man would not be making the trip. However, fans who attended the kickoff date in Brisbane on Wednesday, March 25th, shared on social media that Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna, and Young Dirty Bastard were all no-shows.

According to The Music Network, Ticketek responded by offering refunds (the tour was billed as a final opportunity to see “all members” of the group). They sent an email to ticketholders for the upcoming Melbourne and Sydney shows, confirming that multiple Wu-Tang members didn’t make it to the country.

“We want to make fans aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, a couple of members will be unable to join the remaining tour dates,” the statement reads. “Wu-Tang Clan will be performing and bringing everything that has made them one of the most iconic live acts in hip-hop history.”

Of course, it is anybody’s guess whether Wu-Tang will be consistent with their full lineup of surviving members showing up for their upcoming US leg, but at least a lengthy flight can be factored out of the equation.

Kicking off on August 27th, “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour” will stop in Atlantic City, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Toronto, Virginia Beach, Charlotte, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. Look for deals and tickets to sold-out shows here.
