André 3000 Cast In Netflix’s Live Action Scooby-Doo

As it happens, yesterday was the 30th anniversary of Outkast's beyond-classic sophomore album ATLiens, which still sounds futuristic today. As it happens, yesterday was also the day that Netflix announced André 3000, the more enigmatic half of Outkast, will appear in its forthcoming live-action series Scooby-Doo: Origins. Zoinks!Look, groceries don't pay for themselves. André 3000's acting career goes all the way back to the 2003 buddy-cop movie Hollywood Homicide, and his filmography includes plenty of paycheck gigs. Or who knows, maybe André really thought he'd be involved in real artistic triumphs when he filmed his Be Cool or Semi-Pro parts or when he taped his voice role for the 2006 Charlotte's Web adaptation. Under his André Benjamin government name, Three Stacks appeared onscreen most recently in a one-two punch of 2022 art films, Kelly Reichardt's Showing Up and Noah Baumbach's White Noise. In recent years, he has been making improvisational flute and piano records. Now, he will presumably play one of the bad guys who gets unmasked at the end of the episode.
