Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black Expanded for 20th Anniversary Reissue

Amy Winehouse’s landmark album Back to Black will receive a 20th anniversary reissue on October 23, appended with various rarities and a live album. Among them are four unreleased demos—in addition to several included on a prior deluxe edition—and a handful of B-sides. The live album, recorded at Amsterdam’s Paradiso on February 8, 2007, is being released in full for the first time.Mark Ronson, one of the album’s two producers, said in a press release, “It’s crazy that six songs made in a fit of furious musical infatuation would matter so deeply to so many people twenty years later.”The other, Salaam Remi, added, “Amy was one of one. One-of-a-kind artist. One-of-a-kind spirit. One-of-a-kind soul. Experiencing that level of talent, passion, humour, honesty, and love for what she created was a gift.”The reissue, via UMR/Island, comes in editions including 3xLP and 3xCD sets, both with alternative cover art.
