Amelie Lens’ debut album, AURA, is coming out at the end of the summer. In the meantime, listen to the lead single, “our frequency.”
Amelie Lens has been releasing music for ten whole years, but she has yet to deliver a studio-length album. That looks to change on September 4, when she’s slated to release an 11-track body of work titled AURA on her own EXHALE imprint.
To give fans an idea of what to expect from the effort, Lens has shared its lead single, “our frequency.” Relentlessly driving yet melodic and accessible, it’s a perfect example of the balanced style that has made her one of the most recognizable faces in techno.
“AURA is about the connection between the crowd and me,” said Amelie Lens. “Music has always been my escape, my way of turning my emotions and energy into something new. When I was younger, I would disappear into nightclubs and create my own world in my head. Being in the nightclubs gave me this feeling of belonging somewhere, I felt connection and freedom I had never experienced before. That feeling changed my life completely. So this album really reflects that whole journey.”
The new album will not be Lens’ only major milestone in recent memory. In February 2025, she and fellow Belgian artist Charlotte de Witte released a joint EP titled One Mind. Then, in March 2026, she performed back to back alongside hard techno it-girl Sara Landry for the first time ever at this year’s edition of Ultra Music Festival.
