One AC/DC fan has created a mash-up between the rock giant’s iconic ‘Back In Black’ and the controversial ‘DK Rap’ – check it out below:
Vintage 3D platform game Donkey Kong 64 arrived on the Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this week as part of the Switch Online Classics library. To celebrate, a fan has taken the game’s cheeky, chirpy ‘DK Rap’ and put it to AC/DC/s heavy-hitting ‘Back In Black’.
“DK64 is back on Switch 2 so I put the monkey rap over ‘Back In Black’. I’m sorry,” Noan N Copeland wrote on X.

Despite the apology, fans have been loving the unexpected collaboration. “You shouldn’t be sorry, this is a work of art,” wrote one X user. “Holy shit. This actually rips so fucking hard,” added another. “Five gold bananas out of five, said a third.
Back in 2023, Seth Rogen (who voiced Donkey Kong in The Super Mario Bros. Movie) called the ‘DK Rap’ “objectively one of the worst rap songs of all time” but also admitted that it was “iconic”. While Donkey Kong didn’t appear in this year’s sequel The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, he is rumoured to be getting his own spin-off film.
Yesterday (June 9) Nintendo also confirmed that Donkey Kong fans will be able to take part in a string of online challenges across games such as DK 64, the original arcade game, Donkey Kong Country, and the Donkey Kong Land trilogy. A limited-time collab between Super Mario and Donkey Kong Bananza has also gone live.
In other news, gaming fans are looking forward to “Barbenheimer 2” as only two video games are currently scheduled to launch this November – Grand Theft Auto 6 and Barbie Rewind.
