Frazer — known for his work as co-lead vocalist and drummer of Durand Jones & the Indications — has since released two solo albums: his 2021 debut Introducing… and 2024’s Into the Blue, which saw him expand into a broader sound. Corners emerged from a desire to make music with friends, peers and collaborators that he admires, with "Paint the Picture" arriving as the second preview of the collection of songs, following the previous single "It's A Shame". The song is a yearner's anthem, delving into the thrill of taking a chance on love, and it will also be released as a 7” with EP track “Back Into The World” as a b-side, out via Colemine on 13 November. “As the project progressed I found myself traveling in LA, between studios in South Central, Riverside, Pasadena, and Lincoln Heights," Frazer explains. "It felt like I was traveling to every corner of LA and collaborating with people all over the world.
