With the dust settling on EDC’s 30th anniversary celebration, here are 10 things that made for an unforgettable time under the electric sky in Las Vegas.

EDC Las Vegas is now officially wrapped up, and the 30th anniversary was one for the books. Once again, Insomniac turned the Las Vegas Motor Speedway into a high-production world of wonder when ravers returned on May 15-17. With the recent news that the festival would expand to two weekends, this year’s edition marked the end of an era for the legendary festival.

This was my fourth time attending the festival since 2022, and I was planning for this year’s to be my last for a while, or maybe ever. However, after my incredible experience under the electric sky this year, and the announcement of two weekends, I can say that I will return very soon. From mind-blowing sets to massive stage upgrades, Insomniac knocked it out of the park this year with the experience for headliners.

Insomniac brought their A-game from dusk till dawn. Here are 10 special moments that made for a magical experience at EDC Las Vegas this year.

The full reimagining of bassPOD that took it to another level

The new bassPOD redesign was highly anticipated by many going into this year’s EDC Las Vegas, and the stage did not disappoint. The stage stepped away from the industrial look and leaned more into the festival’s Kinetic theme, bringing more color and character. The stage also got much bigger, giving the crowd a larger space to headbang their worries away.

The size upgrade came with upgraded production, as the pyro, fireworks, and lasers all blended together for an experience that made bassPOD one of the most fun stages at the festival. This year’s stage lineup featured countless bass favorites and killer back-to-backs like Doctor P b3b Flux Pavilion b3b FuntCase, Eptic b2b Space Laces, and many more.

Spectacular drone shows that lit up the sky each night

This year, EDC Las Vegas took its Intermezzos and firework shows to the next level with jaw-dropping drone shows. During Intermezzos, drones would light up the night sky and gracefully form formations like meteors, aliens, UFOs, and more. Sometimes they would even shoot fireworks, creating breathtaking views at kineticFIELD.

The drones were also used during the daily fireworks, elevating the experience by making the electric sky a canvas of color and imagination. Attendees who checked into Camp EDC at around 4am on Thursday were able to get a sneak preview of the drones, and the final product delivered beyond expectations.

EDC Las Vegas honored the past with the debut of the Insomniac Fridays stage

While other stages boomed with the beats from top artists in the current scene, Insomniac Fridays paid homage to the brand’s ’90s roots. Taking the name from the original string of underground shows hosted in Los Angeles, this new stage featured artists who helped champion the rave scene in its earliest days.

The vibes there were out of this world when legends like Frankie Bones, Donald Glaude, and more performed to those who found their way into the warehouse-style experience. It also offered a breath of fresh air for those looking for a more intimate environment and to avoid the swelling crowds at the massive stages elsewhere throughout the festival grounds.

The circuitGROUNDS stage dazzled with its refreshed look and feel

While kineticFIELD is the main stage of EDC, the second main stage, circuitGROUNDS, is just as important. Some could argue that this stage is the true heartbeat of EDC Las Vegas, but with some not being fans of the 2025 design, it had to deliver in a big way. In 2026, circuitGROUNDS returned to its roots with massive screens surrounding the ravers, a change from the small-screen approach the stage used last year.

The stage was massive this year, and was one of the most noticeable things after walking through the cosmicMEADOW bleachers. A stellar and diverse stage lineup, paired with being deep in the crowd, created an immersive experience that only this stage could offer. The 2026 iteration of circuitGROUNDS has made a statement as being one of the best stages at EDC Las Vegas ever.

Catching the sunrise at neonGARDEN, while Josh Baker, KETTAMA, and Prospa got their groove on during their b3b

With many great offerings for Saturday sunrise sets, none would appeal to be as groovy as the hyped mega collaboration of Josh Baker b3b KETTAMA b3b Prospa. Even with the sudden announcement that Prospa would be without member Harvey Blumler, the hype still remained strong with Gosha Smith manning the ship.

This set promised two hours of funky beats to get the body moving until the sun came up, and it was exactly that. The crowd didn’t feel too packed, and there was plenty of space to dance, allowing everyone to move and groove. The set concluded with the smash hit “Free Your Mind,” and the whole crowd was singing their hearts out as the Vegas morning sun started to loom overhead.

Sammy Virji threw the party of the festival at circuitGROUNDS during his debut

Saturday night, circuitGROUNDS hosted one of the most fun sets of the festival with Sammy Virji’s EDC Las Vegas debut. The fast-rising UKG artist played a special set that attendees will remember for years to come. Virji saw the new upgraded stage and immediately knew what he was working with, dealing serious damage on the decks.

He set the tempo by starting the set with “Cops & Robbers,” and from there, he had the whole place jumping. His ability to read the crowd kept him one step ahead, always leaving everyone eager for the next groovy drop. During his set, circuitGROUNDS was the biggest and most energetic dancefloor on the planet.

A.M.C and Phantom tore down bassPOD with one of the most high-octane sets of the entire weekend

There aren’t too many big DJ sets out there with a live MC, but A.M.C with Phantom has mastered it. Having a prime slot of 10:30 at bassPOD, the duo performed easily one of the most high-octane sets of the festival, and it was all gas and no brakes from start to finish.

A.M.C is one of the best drum and bass DJs in the world, and his sets show that he’s mastered the genre. His pure chemistry with Phantom was on full display, as the two gel into an experience that’s straight from the UK underground scene. The two were having a blast on stage, and it was clearly reflected in the set, as the crowd was having just as much fun. With face-melting bass, the energy was palpable in the air, and it was a dream for drum and bass lovers who fiend for filthy DnB in the States.

Seeing people getting lost in the music during a rare front-of-house Chris Stussy set

On Sunday, extreme high winds posed a safety hazard for some stages, temporarily halting play for quantumVALLEY and circuitGROUNDS. Chris Stussy was still able to play his full set, but couldn’t perform on stage due to the wind. He ended up mixing from a front-of-house production area at circuitGROUNDS near the back left of the crowd, creating an improvised 360-degree set.

GRiZ b2b Wooli took place at the same time and provided great crowd control, leaving plenty of room to dance at Stussy’s set. Most people in the crowd didn’t know where he was mixing from, so everyone was dancing freely in all directions. One of the most magical moments came when he played his iconic “Breather“. The crowd was a sea of joyful souls, lost in the music with those around them, during their last few hours under the electric sky.

Watching the Sunday fireworks at stereoBLOOM while Chris Lorenzo and bullet tooth threw down

Sunday offered a variety of heavy-hitting sets for the final fireworks show of the weekend, but none would be as funky as Chris Lorenzo b2b bullet tooth. The two UK lads put on a splendid show at the freshly redesigned stereoBLOOM, which looked like a mini-circuitGROUNDS.

When the fireworks started shooting up into the electric sky about halfway through the set, it created a beautiful scene of ravers dancing the night away. The set contained banging favorites like “HOTS 4 U“, “In This Bih’,” and tons of fresh IDs with groovy basslines that had everyone moving to their hearts’ content. Everyone knows the mighty Chris Lorenzo, but this set put the up-and-coming bullet tooth on people’s radar.

Nico Moreno b2b Holy Priest closing out cosmicMEADOW with a hard techno masterclass

With some more chill options to close out the weekend, Nico Moreno and Holy Priest opted for the opposite. The two techno juggernauts decided to throw a high BPM extravaganza at cosmicMEADOW that had the crowd going so feral that it might as well have been the beginning of the festival.

This set was the epitome of “emptying the tank,” and every raver in attendance was releasing any ounce of energy that they had left. Fists were pumping in the air nonstop, and the hard techno revolution was in full effect. This set was one of the most packed closing sets at cosmicMEADOW in recent years, and it was a poetic end to the 30th-anniversary celebration under the electric sky.
